Cerro free cutting brass rod is ideal for
making a variety of parts that require deep drilling, broad form cuts, fine
knurling, fine threading and superior finish. Free cutting brass rod
is the most easily machined of all metals and alloys. Maximum
machine speeds and feeds can be utilized. Scientific tests conducted
in Cerro's laboratories have proved superiority of free cutting brass rod
and bar over other metals. Unsurpassed machining qualities result in
lower production costs and higher output when using Cerro
Brass.
|
In its mill
depots, Cerro carries in stock in excess of 3,000,000 pounds of free cutting brass rounds from 7/32" to 12.5" in diameter, hexagons from 1/4" to 4" diagonal. Most sizes of free cutting brass are uniform 12-foot lengths and are chamfered on one end for faster and easier loading in automatic screw machines. Standard rod sizes are maintained in stock to fill your needs.
Many other special shape dies are available for production. Ask a Cerro Metal Products Company sales representative for details, sketches or sizes.
